Once known as Singapore’s Productivity and Standards Board, PSB Academy is known today as “The Future Academy”, with an approach to education that focuses on what really matters: performance in the New Economy. In 2017, the Academy was conferred “Education Institution of the Year” by APAC Insider and earned 2 consecutive SBR National Business Awards in 2017/18 in the Education category for outstanding work in the region.
PSB hosts over 12,000 students from over 50 nationalities with the slate of certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate programmes every year.
Students from the Academy enjoy excellent graduation outcomes: in 2015, Around nine in 10 local/international students found perm/temp employment within six months of graduation; six in 10 benefited from pay raises and/or career progression; and that graduates took 2.1 months on average to find employment.
In 2017, PSB marked an expansion to a City Campus at Marina Square spanning over 100,000 square feet. This signaled the Academy’s mission to make the idea of productivity relevant again, with a future-oriented brand of education to prepare students for a disrupted age. The campus was launched by Guest of Honour, National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) Secretary-General Chan Chun Sing, along with PSB Academy’s university and industry partners.
Most recently in 2018, as part of PSB Academy’s continued growth, PSB re-located their Delta Campus to a new multi-million dollar 50,000 Sqft lab-based facility in Central Singapore, at Jackson Square in Toa Payoh. PSB Academy’s STEM Campus hosts Schools of Engineering and Technology as well as School of Life and Physical Sciences. Dedicated to studies in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, the STEM campus will host upgraded laboratories and facilities for learning, experimentation and discovery.
